Wednesday: DAY IN REVIEW: The quarter finals were played today, and there were fourteen winners and fourteen teams that ended their seasons. Following the season trend, almost all were mismatches with only the Irondequoit at Thomas game close, for most of the game. As expected, all the higher seeded teams won today and the top four seeded teams are now set for the semifinals.

Wednesday: DAY IN REVIEW: Four more teams joined Batavia and BK as they finished the regular season today. Churchville-Chili, Greece, Pittsford, and Penfield finished and will wait for tournament seeding on Sunday. Irondequoit won a close one with Churchville-Chili. Victor won a close one with Pittsford and Brockport won a close one with East United-Eastridge.

Monday: DAY IN REVIEW: A nine goal second quarter led to a 12-2 half as Spencerport (7-0) posted an 18-4 win for the Rangers over Aquinas this afternoon. Connor Mesh had 3g-3a and won 13/14 (94%) faceoffs and Justin Schnauber added 2g-3a for Spencerport.

Friday: DAY IN REVIEW: UPDATED Penfield scored the last four goals in their 9-8 double overtime win against visiting Fairport tonight. With Fairport up 7-2 with 2:30 left in the third quarter, Penfield scored seven of the last eight goals.

# 3101  Victor over Fairport, Brighton over Schroeder

Wednesday: DAY IN REVIEW: Senior faceoff specialist Logan Callahan gave Victor a big advantage in ball time as he won 14/18 draws to help the Blue Devils beat Fairport 10-6 this afternoon. Callahan, who in three games this season has won 58/66 (88%) faceoffs also scored 2g-1a. The game started even, with three ties before Victor took a lead at 4-3 and did not let go. Senior M/A Cal Lambert led the scoring for the Blue Devils with 3g-2a. Senior midfielder Alex Seiler added 2g-1 and five other players scored one goal. Fairport sophomore A/M Jackson Monte led in scoring for the Red Raiders with 2g-1a. Fairport (2-2) will play Penfield on Friday while Victor (3-0) is playing Irondequoit. # 3097  Penfield Wins in Overtime

Monday: DAY IN REVIEW: It took overtime for Penfield to defeat The Panthers 12-11 tonight on the road. With Pittsford up 11-7 at the top of the fourth quarter but starting with 5:08 left in the game, Penfield scored four unanswered goals to tie the game at 11-11 with 2:11 left. With 2:04 left in overtime, senior attackman Sam Cummings scored the game-winner with an assist from Jake Fox. Cummings ended the game with 4g and senior midfielder Chris Smith added 3g-2a. John Richiusa gave the Patriots lots of ball time as he won 23/27 faceoffs. Pittsford senior attackman Harrison Cross led scoring with 2g-2a and junior James Cook added 3g for the Panthers (2-2) who will play R-H on Wednesday. Penfield bumps to 4-0 and will play Canandaigua on Wednesday.[BOX SCORE]

Saturday: DAY IN REVIEW: Webster Thomas scored the first goal of the game and although Fairport quickly tied it, the Titans went ahead early in the second quarter and never gave up the lead in their 7-5 win at Fairport this afternoon. The spectators saw a very defensive game with Titan senior goalie Ethan Ruller making All-American saves and Fairport junior goalie McLean Ralston making 12s (63%).

Friday: DAY IN REVIEW: There were two games played on a cold night with some rain, and in Brighton, some snow flakes. Hilton stayed close the entire game and didn't take their first lead until 4:02 left in the game as they won a 12-11 at Brighton. Their strong win was on the backs of Devin Kluth (2g-2a) and Matthew Mojsej (2g-3a). Brighton's stand-out performance was from Sam Tourangeau at the draw (20/25) and on offense (2g-2a). # 3063  Brighton Young but on the Move

Brighton will have a young and inexperienced team this year. There are only two players returning from 2019, but they are quality players. Senior attackman Olin Stanat will start the season with 42g-21a from his freshman and sophomore years. He will be playing for Le Moyne after graduation. Senior midfielder Sam Tourangeau also has two years of experience and will start the year with 15g-3a and 260 face off wins (67%). He will be heading to Ithaca next year where his expects to play both football and lacrosse.

# 2917  Victor Heads to Finals for Seventh Straight Year

Second seeded Victor held off a late push by third seeded Brighton 10-9.  The Blue Devils took control early and held it for a huge chunk of the game.  They led by four goals with four minutes remaining in regulation.  Brighton scored four goals in last four minutes (with Victor adding one of their own) to pull within one goal two different times.  Victor advances to the Sectional Finals for the Seventh straight season.

# 2884  Brighton Wins in Overtime Again

Brighton fought back from a two goal deficit at the end of the third quarter to defeat Pittsford in overtime 10-9.  The Barons and Panthers played a back and forth game with both teams leading before Pittsford took a two goal lead at the end of the third quarter. Brighton’s defense held the Panthers scoreless for the final 13 minutes of regulation and another 3 minutes in overtime.
